LG Dryer breakdown, LG dryer how to access:

Start by removing the screws along the back of the top. When the screws are out the top will slide back and off. With the top off and out of the way you will see two screws on either end of the control panel, remove and the control panel will lift up and slide off.

There are several locking tabs on the top of the control panel that will keep the control clipped in it takes a small screw drive to pry the control up and off the unit.

Once the dryers control panel is out of the way you will see the screws along the top of the front panel. Remove the screws along the top of the front panel and disconnect the door switch. With the door switch disconnected the front of the dryer will lift up and off the frame.

With the front panel off the dryer you will now be able to reach in and remove the belt, remember the belt routing configuration before removal. With the belt off and the front bulkhead out of the way you will be able to remove the drum to access the rollers, motor, thermostats, and etc.

Having a volt meter is not a bad idea if you are going to try and diagnose any type of voltage issue like not heating not starting and so on. You can pick up a cheap $20 dollar volt meter at any local appliance parts house or local hardware store.
