Often a dishwasher’s soap cup dispenser will fail, when this happens the soap will not dispense into the dishwasher, leaving dirty dishes at the end of the dishwasher cycle.

Gaining access to the dishwasher’s soap cup is done by removing the screws that are located around the inner door panel. These screws can be either Torq or Philip head screws. I have attached a video that shows where the screws are located and how to replace the dishwasher soap cup assembly.

After removal of the inner door panel screws the door will separate. Take the front panel and control panel off, now the soap cup dispenser will be visible. Pictured here, inner door screws are removed, control panel and front panel are now ready to come off.

Now that you have access to your dishwasher’s soap cup, the screws that anchor the dispenser to the door will need to be removed. These screws are normally small in size and can range from 3/16 to ¼ usually.

Pictured here is the dishwasher’ soap cup,  the arrows point to the small 3/16 screws that need to be removed. Also note the wires will need to come off the solenoid before final removal of the soap cup assembly.
