  1. great job. thanks

  2. I .finally succeeded in accessing the door handle screws. A table knife and “go to it” were the key. I started at the bottom inside corner and worked my way out to the free end of the door. The inner panel came out as a complete unit leaving only the outer door glass in place. Nothing got broken or cracked in the process. The plastic door frame flexed but was not damage.

    • Hi,

Thanks for your comment and I’m glad our site was of some help. Getting inside the microwave door can be tricky. A putty knife works best for me. Glad you were able to conquer your DIY appliance repair friend.

  6. I’m trying to learn how to replace a Kenmore Microwave Door Frame. I’m here and it states the video is here, but I don’t see a place to click to see the video. Please, help. Thanks!

  7. Matt it appears your tutorial is the only one on the internet that explains how to remove the metal plate behind the plastic backing, only your video isn’t working? Any ideas? It doesnt appear on the page for me.

  8. I have a Kenmore Elite microwave (2002) with cockroach droppings between the glass front and the mesh back. I followed your video easily to get the plastic backing off, but the clips holding onto the metal grate are much tighter than the ones shown in your video, with no flex in the door frame, and I can’t get any further.

    Any advice ?
