Bosch dishwasher troubleshooting! Bosch along with many other dishwasher will eventually have a no drain or not draining issue at one time or another. The dishwashers have two motors a drain motor and wash motor. The wash motor obviously sprays the water and the drain motor drains the water.
Troubleshooting Bosch dishwashers is actually fairly simple. The most common issue is a no drain or slow draining dishwasher. Below is a video that will help you gain access inside the unit to clear the drain motor.
Another fairly common issue on Bosch dishwashers is leaks in the sealed base. When these units leak the flood switch is activated. When the flood switch is activated the dishwasher will not fill or wash but only drain. A tale tale sign the unit is in flood mode is if you open the door, the unit stays running. Now it may sound like the wash motor is running but in reality it’s the drain motor.
To solve this issue the dishwasher need to be pulled out to dry the water so the flood switch goes down. Once the unit is out the side panel comes off giving access to the flood switch and other components. Drying the water out of the base pan will enable the machine to fill with water again. At that point you would need to watch the unit to determine where the leak is coming from. Repair the leak often times a hose or loose connection underneath and your back in business.
