Frigidaire dishwashers have several common issues. Initiating this test mode will check all components on the dishwasher.

To initiate the self diagnostic mode the dishwasher needs to be in idle or power failure mode.

Press the Hi-Temp Wash button and Start/Cancel button for 1/2 second. The test mode will start if the buttons were pressed correctly.

  2. Diagnostics ran ok. My problem is that the washer motor runs very loud after the first wash/drain cycle. It is not filling at that point and running dry. Any suggestions?

  3. Thanks for the info. I had a dishwasher that wouldn’t heat. I was able to put the dishwasher into diagnostic mode and figure out the control board wasn’t sending power to the heating element.

  4. run the test mode when unit started drain mode drained in sink but was leaking under the machine
could this be the pump gaskets.

  5. I have tried to initiate the unit into the service test mode and it will not commence. The issue is that the “cleaning” light flashes and the dishwasher will not start. I have tried holding and resetting the system several times, however to no avail. Including turning the breaker off.

I think it’s the control “main unit”, however I don’t want to spend the money on a part I don’t need.

Need some help. What do you think it could be?

    • Hi, it sounds like it’s the main control. Have you tied leaking the breaker off for 2-3 minutes then trying to activate service mode?

  6. Ran safey/water test-all good. All of the LEDs are fine and respond to touch. The problem is the the dishwasher is NOT doing anything after any cycle selection. It is stays on for 5-10sec and then shuts off by it self. It is model PLDB998AC1.It is same as PLDB998CC-found on
All of the components seems to work after manual applying power .Sounds like control board to me.Any thoughts?

    • Hi, this is not a common issue at all. Have you checked the connection on the board? Check the board for burn marks? Based on your complaint I would also suspect the board to be the culprit.

  7. My dishwasher starts and then shuts off after a few minutes. It fills with hot water but doesn’t seem to be washing. If I hit cancel the water will drain. I have already tried turning off the circuit breaker. Any suggestions on what this could be?

    • Hi, on these units it usually indicates a faulty wash motor. These have an auxiliary drain motor & a wash motor. A test at the motor plug when it should be running will tell you the rest of the story…

  8. We ran a cycle through our dishwasher and continuously end up with the bottom full of water. We ran a test mode and it follows all the way through, still with water in the bottom? Any ideas?

  9. My dishwasher gets “stuck” in the normal wash cycle. I have replaced the high-limit thermostat. The heating element passes a continuity test and gets hot.

The dishwasher ran through the test cycle just fine.

    Any ideas?

    My model # is FDB2110LCS0

  10. I’m getting a pf code immediately following cycle 6 in diagnostics mode. I’ve timed it, runs exactly 60 seconds on cycle 6 the pf when running the self test.

If I hit start it will start a cycle again, then cancel and it will fully drain. On a normal wash cycle it runs for maybe 60 minutes then the pf code. I’ve pulled the washer out and have it hooked up in my workshop now, definitely not a power supply issue.

Suggestions? I’ve cleaned the drain, seems to wash fine, just pf before it will drain.

  11. Hi I have a Frigidaire professional model FPHD2481KF1. I use the quick wash cycle normaly, had a power outage and now when I push quick cycle it seems to run power plus cycle? Is there a way to reset?
