We’ve had a recent influx of emails here at ApplianceRepairLesson and we appreciate the support and trust you put in us. After to responding to a few emails this morning I figured I would write a small article that explains this error code and how we generally go about fixing it in the field and at the shop.

Whirlpool Duet Sport F20 Error Code Fix:

The error code indicates a problem with the pressure switch. This could be caused by a faulty pressure switch or more likely the case a clogged pressure switch hose. Yes, soap and other debris could be inside the line causing this issue. Remove the power and make sure no water is inside the machine. The top will need to be removed so If you’re not handy, call a tech or use the ASK Matt page at the top of this page:)

The pressure switch hose is black in color and connects to a round device. Remove the hose from the pressure switch and blow through it. Is it clear? If so, the switch itself has failed and will need to be replaced to fix the issue. If it’s clogged, awesome you found the culprit! Good work.

If you have more questions about the F20 code on a duet washer or any other error code, please feel free to use the comment form below or the “Ask Matt” page at the top of the page.
