Several factors can contribute creating a no drain issue. Bosch dishwashers have what is know as an auxiliary drain pump. This pump is not part of the main wash system, the drain pump is located on the bottom left side of the sump housing.

Pushing the locking tab in and rotating will release the drain motor from the housing. You will need to do this if the drain pump is found defective or if foreign debris is lodged inside.

Several possibilities for a no drain issue include:

-Clogged drain hose

-Kinked drain hose

-Failed drain pump

-Disposal or standpipe adapter clogged. Often installers will install make shift candy canes for the stand pipe, when doing so they use a smaller diameter pipe, food and debris often become stuck inside.

If determined the drain pump needs to be replaced or cleaned you will need to access it from the front, disconnect power and remove the lower kick plate two screws hold it on.

With the dishwasher kick plate removed you will see the pump on the left side like stated above depress the locking tab and rotate the pump to remove. Before removing the kick plate you can access the dishwashers drain pump from the top, you can not remove it but you can clean it.

Access the dishwasher pump from the top by twisting the filter located in the bottom dishwasher, remove the metal screen. Removing the screw over the drain pump access cover may reveal the issue. Cleaning the drain pump from the top with needle nose pliers may help aid in lifting small obstructions out of the way.

After repairing the dishwasher whether replacing or cleaning the pump, you can set the dishwasher to a normal cycle and let fill, once filled hold down the corresponding drain/cancel buttons and the dishwasher will go into a 2 min drain cycle.
