When a Samsung washing machine displays the error code nF1 an appliance repair technician is not going to be needed. Yes, that is right “NOT” going to be needed. You can fix this error yourself.

I actually seen this problem at least once a month. It’s a fairly common error and there’s not a lot of info about it on line. I wanted to share with you how you can fix this yourself.

If you’re getting this code, your washer is most likely fairly new or brand new.

Samsung Washer nF1 Error Code:

The code in short means the hot and cold water inlet hoses are reversed. Yes, the hoses need to be swapped over. This usually happens during install or when moving the washer to a new location. I’ve seen brand new washing machines display error and machines that are several years old.

The washer will most likely need to come forward to remove the hoses. If your Samsung washing machine is brand new, have the installers come back and reverse the water inlet hoses to fix the nF1 error code on your washer.

Samsung washers have several common issues and error codes. One of the most or more common error code is the FL. Several reasons why this error code will pop up in the display.

  • Door not shut
  • Loose connection on door lock
  • Strike on door lock missing/broken
  • Door not shut all the way

The FL error code indicates a faulty door lock assembly. The door lock will attempt to close 7 times before the error code pops up in the display. You may hear the lock clicking several times before the code comes up and you may not hear it clicking.

The repair is actually very straight forward. If you’re fairly handy, you can make this repair yourself. It will require no special tools and is not time consuming. Unplugging the unit so no power is present is the first step. Opening the door and removing the metal spring around the door gasket. You can use a putty knife or flat head to remove the spring. Once the spring is off you will be able to push the door gasket back enough to access the door lock. Make sure the connections are snug. The lock has several plug and play connections on it. You can remove the screws around the front that mount the lock to the frame. Once the screws are removed the door lock assembly will slide out the front giving you access to replace it. The job is actually very straight forward.

How to fix a LG washer LE error code.  Do you have the dreaded LE error code on your washing machine?  The fix is pretty straight forward.  The sensor that is mounted on the side of the stator motor needs to be replaced.  The hall sensor monitors the washer motor speed.  When the sensor fails the LE error code will appear in the washes display window.

Pull the unit out and remove the back panel.  The stator motor is bolted to the back the washer with several bolts.  Remove the bolt from the motor housing and you will see the bolts around the motor.  Once the washer motor is off the sensor can be changed.  We stock LG washer parts, enter your model number in the search box to look your part up.
