One of the most likely problems you will see on a Whirlpool made refrigerator (Kitchen Aid, Kenmore, Roper) is the display inside the refrigerator will go blank and the refrigerator lights will not turn on. This is a common sign that the main printed circuit board (PCB) has failed. On built-in refrigerators, this PCB is located above the refrigerator in a sheet metal box by the compressor. For side by side refrigerators, the control board is located in the lower back right corner next to the compressor in a sheet metal box. The PCB will need to be replaced to resolve the lights and display not working.
Do you need to get inside the dryer? If so here is how to lift the top of the dryer. You will need a small screwdriver and putty knife.
Removing the lint filter will reveal the two screws that need to be removed. When removed the clips in the front will need to be depressed to lift the top.
Depressing the clips front in will release the dryers top. The clips that hold the dryer down will only need a small amount of force to be pushed far enough back to release the top of the dryer.
Here the top is lifted allowing access to the inside of the dryer. removing the dryer door switch, followed by the two screws that hold the front the frame will allow access into the motor and dryer roller area
